Artist/Song Title: Thirteen Senses - Into the Fire
Vidder: Xandra
Fandom: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Theme: Character Study
Warnings: Spoilers everything (but seriously it's been over for 10+ years)
Summary: Sisko's journey into the fire.
Notes: I've been working on this vid for a long time. I was focused on the song for a long time and paired with the show and Sisko's journey really felt like the way to go. I wished the song was longer. I had to make a difficult cut of Sisko's first meeting with Picard, if only i had one more verse.

on 2011-08-27 10:14 pm (UTC)- I love the way you cut the orb experience, very fluid.
- I teared up on "from the summer to the spring" -- Sisko hugging little Jake and tall Jake. Aww, family.
- Actually, all your lyric interpretations are wonderful. Everything with Benny, and the Cardassian fireworks/the mines exploding, just perfect.
- Whoa, he did the same hand motion when the Prophets take him at the beginning and end of the show? Amazing catch.
- The ending, with Jake -- chills.
Basically I really love this! <3

on 2011-09-08 06:29 am (UTC)- There was so much good stuff in the pilot, I kept wanting to use all of it
- haha, so did my mother (I needed her help beta'ing this one)
- Thanks, I tried. I song was so powerful, it needed the visuals to be able to stand up to it.
- yes, the hand... He does that a lot, like how he confirms they've taken him.
- I wanted to end with Jake because I like how it paralleled Sisko at the beginning, looking at the Borg and the loss.
Thanks again for the great comments
